Sofaspace Ambient Radio

Sofaspace is a listener-supported, independent and free internet radio station. We broadcast a nice mix of background sounds for the quiet times at home, chilling after parties and listening at work. Take some relaxing ambient music, mix it with easy chill and sexy lounge music and then trow in a bit of pumping dub and psychedelic tunes et voilà, you got Sofaspace. The only thing you'll ever need to make your sofa happy.

Discover new sounds in our own Music Store where we're selling a variety of great CDs and Downloads which are hard to get anywhere else. Think of it as Sofaspace for offline use.

Tune in, lean back and enjoy the vibes.

Bye Bye Spreadshirt

Good Morning

Our Spreadshirt page has been removed due to the increasingly bad quality of the delivered items. There's no merchandise available at the moment but we'll see if we can get someone else to produce some nice shirts and mugs or whatever else would make a nice addition to your home. Maybe Cafepress or so. We'll see. However, we also take other donations if you feel generous. ;)

Cheers,
Roberto

More Apps :)

ooTunes

Looks like I've hit the nerve with my last post as some readers let me know that there are apparently quite a few useful apps for the iPhone.

This particular baby called ooTunes comes with builtin Sofaspace support. You get the mp3, ogg and aac+ streams directly from their directory. Nice. :)

It's not free though, but it comes with a huge radio directory and they're adding new stations regularly.

UPDATE: If you think of getting this app, then do so today. All earnings go to Haiti relief efforts. Only today 20th January. Thanks!

FStream for Mac and iPhone

Somebody pointed me last year to promote a little application i found some time ago for the Mac. I completely forgot about it but came across the website again today. So here is the hot tip for Mac users struggling with quality ogg playback.

FStream works perfectly with our streams on your OS X Mac and your iPhone. There's a good review on Mac360 about this application. Basically it's just a streaming client that does it's job so damn well, you start it and completely forget it's running. It just keeps the music coming. Drop VLC in favour of this one. You won't regret it.

Hell, you can even take us with you wherever you go. Sitting in a bus, nobody to talk to? No problem, share your musical preferences with the world. If you have speakers, even better. Let them know which is your favourite radio station. :)
