Notice! I get so many submissions that I don't have the time anymore to answer everyone. Don't be disappointed if you don't hear from me immediately. It will take some time to review your music. I'll definitely not answer people who submit content which doesn't fit our style. Check out the radio before you send me your cds. That saves you some money and me a lot of time. Thanks

Submission Guidelines

A track listing and copyright notice has to be included with all promo material you send us. We need to know if we can use your work for free or not. Licensing is usually handled through our IFPI and Suisa contracts. Separate agreements with artists which are not member of such an industry association are possible.

If it's your own work and you're not a member of an organization like Suisa or GEMA, then let us know. A short notice or a copy of your creative commons license is all we need. We don't want to pay them license fees for work that does not belong to their field of responsibility. They'd distribute the money to the big labels instead of giving it to the artists.

Dj mixes represent a grey zone. There's currently no licensing model available to us which would fully cover their use. Djs are responsible themselves to get the needed licenses for all used works before they submit a mix. By submitting your mix you confirm that you have all the licenses you need for producing derivative works and that you provide your mix to us free of charge.

File formats for ftp uploads:

Music files should whenever possible be uploaded either as WAVE, AIFF or FLAC. That ensures the best quality. We do also accept MP3 and OGG but the bitrate should be at least 256kbs (q-8 for OGG). A preconfigured OGG encoder will be provided upon request. Contact us to get your ftp account.

Please do not convert existing MP3's to WAVE! You can still upload your files, even if they do not comply with our guidelines. We will check the quality to decide if they are suitable for playing or not.
